Melwood crews serve many renowned sites in the Washington area, including the USDA People’s Garden on the National Mall and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Melwood’s Garden Center also supplies several of our prominent contract sites with plants grown in Melwood greenhouses. In total our Garden Center grew more than 8,000 plants for our federal customers.
Our grounds teams use a combination of state-of-the-art equipment and methods that are environmentally safe and government-approved. We enhance our dependability with integrated quality control, competitive purchasing, proven subcontractor relationships, and ongoing staff and worker development including participation/membership in professional industry organizations such as LCA and ALCA.
