Ann decided to join Melwood to continue using her knowledge, skills and abilities to support and advocate with and for the people with differing abilities that Melwood serves. For 15 years, Ann raised and supported her grandson who had severe disabilities. She provided hands-on support to him and many other students at his school, which is how she was first introduced to Melwood. Ann is a United States Postal Service retiree where she worked in Research and Development, Human Resources and Training and Development. She studied Psychology at Howard University. Prior to raising her grandson, she worked at her church as an Outreach Minister, providing services to families through mentoring and coaching.
