Our beautifully wooded 108-acre property offers the perfect country setting for any event. Nestled in the serenity of Nanjemoy, Maryland, we are a reasonable driving distance from Baltimore and Washington as well as Northern Virginia. Rentals and Retreats at the Melwood Recreation Center have an almost 30-year history of serving customers and making memorable events for groups of all kinds and sizes.

Whether large or small, our facility offers endless opportunities for you to create a one-of-a-kind event. During the months of September through May, we make our facility available for corporate and religious retreats, receptions, school groups, family reunions, executive gatherings, team building workshops and more. Our caterer offers meals that will please your guests’ taste buds and allow you the convenience of having all your events' needs handled by Melwood.
