Susan assisted Melwood in opening the eyeglass recycling center in 2008 with the help of Betty Moore-Parker; mother of Melwood Alum George and Robbie Moore. Since the center was implemented it has successfully supplied hundreds of glasses to thrid world countries. Susan is now training several participants to calibrate the lenses.
