Loren began his career with Melwood as a landscaper at the Department of Agriculture. He has now moved on since March of 2014 to be a Materials Handler/Driver at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling Air Force Base. Loren’s project manager, Derrick Coleman, had nothing but great things to say - “ he has terrific motivation on the job and is extremely dependable.” Although Loren prefers recycling over any other position he has had, he is hoping for an opening as an electrician. In November of 2014, Loren's team received the Quality Award from the manager's retreat.
