AbilityOne Expo

On December 9^th AbilityOne hosted their annual expo at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Melwood joined a number of nonprofit agencies within the AbilityOne network to highlight the work we do for people with differing abilities.

Angela Bell, a Melwood employee at the Navy Yard, was invited to speak at the event. During her speech, Angela discussed her experience over the past six years as a member of our custodial team. She talked about how much she loves her job and how proud she is to be gainfully employed. She closed her speech by expressing her gratitude to Melwood and AbilityOne for giving her the opportunity to remain independent.
