AN AFTERNOON OF HOPE, PROMISE & GROWING OPPORTUNITIES

On August 1, we hosted an employee event at our headquarters in Upper Marlboro, Md. to welcome our newest affiliate, Linden Resources. The cookout style event was marked by hope, promise, and growing opportunities for the people we serve. The gathering was an opportunity for new colleagues to come together, discover similarities, and get a glimpse of the positive road ahead. Hot dogs and burgers covered the grills, the DJ played some familiar tunes, and a local radio personality, Taylor Thomas with WHUR-FM, joined us to cover the event. And what’s a cook out without some friendly competition? Similar to Melwood, Virginia-based Linden Resources is an AbilityOne organization committed to creating job opportunities for people with differing abilities, as well as providing resources for veterans coping with service-related injuries. They have an excellent line of services that we look forward to bringing into the Melwood fold, such as printing, fulfillment, shredding, document conversion, warehousing, and packaging.
