Last month, SmartCEO Magazine held their annual gala where Melwood’s President and CEO, Cari DeSantis, was recognized as the recipient of their 2016 Brava Award. The Brava Awards program celebrates female business leaders who exemplify strong leadership, an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for giving back to the community. Over 100 successful business leaders gathered from throughout the region to honor 40 of Washington’s most influential women in business during the July 7th event.
SmartCEO Magazine presented Cari with the award in recognition of Melwood’s organizational growth under her leadership, her volunteer efforts, and her commitment to mentoring up-and-coming professionals. Cari joined Melwood as President and CEO on March 1, 2013, after a long career in leadership positions in the nation’s health and human services sector.
We salute her for her leadership and unwavering dedication to Melwood’s mission.
