We are proud to announce that Melwood’s President and CEO, Cari DeSantis, is the recipient of SmartCEO Magazine’s 2016 Brava Award. The Brava Awards program celebrates high-impact female business leaders’ passion for giving back to the community, their entrepreneurial spirit and exemplary leadership.
An independent committee of local business leaders selected Cari as the award recipient for the Washington, D.C. market based on the organizational growth Melwood experienced under her leadership, her volunteer efforts and commitment to mentoring up-and-coming professionals. Cari will be honored at SmartCEO’s annual gala in July.
Cari joined Melwood as President and CEO on March 1, 2013, after a long career in leadership positions in the nation’s health and human services sector. We salute her for her leadership and unwavering dedication to Melwood’s mission.
