COO Site Visit

Melwood’s new Chief Operations Officer, Dave Harden, recently paid a visit to the organization's custodial team at the United States Naval Academy. Dave assumed the role as Melwood's senior-level operations manager, with oversight of operations, corporate activities, contract services, and community services, in early July. During his visit to the Academy, Dave had the opportunity to meet several employees and thank them for their hard work.

“One of my first objectives as COO is to formally introduce myself to Melwood's workforce." said Mr. Harden. "It may take some time but its important for our employees to know that we value their work."

Melwood has provided custodial services for the Naval Academy since 2005. The Academy sits on 338 acres of land, making it one of Melwood’s largest contract sites. Melwood employs approximately 100 people at the site in Annapolis, Maryland.

One of Melwood’s employees on the contract, Gregory Klima, was inducted as an honorary member of the Naval Academy’s Class of 2012 last Spring.
