Although mother nature was kind to us this summer our gardens are starting to look a bit tired. Its that time of the year when we all need to pull up those fading annuals and redesign our gardens for the Fall season.
Right now is the perfect time to prepare your garden for the crisp days and cool nights that lay ahead. Mums, Asters and Pansies are the perfect combinations for your Fall garden. They're full of blooms and the flowers hold their color through the early frosts and colder weather.
Mums are one of the most popular flowers in the world, next to the rose; they're a beautiful sign of the Fall and a great way to showcase the bold colors - violet, yellow, rust and white - that are magic for Fall.
Pansies are the perfect compliment to Mums. The pansy's intense blue, purple, yellow and burgundy colors are the perfect color combination for your Fall garden.
Asters are another great addition to your Fall garden design. The name comes from the ancient Greek language and means Star, much likes the shape of its head. They're very popular garden plants because of the attractive and vibrant hues of blue and pink.
I am happy to announce that the Melwood Garden Center now has a beautiful selection of mums, pansies and asters available right now!
