On December 10th, Melwood President and CEO Cari DeSantis attended the Pax River Partnership’s monthly meeting at the Pax River Naval Air Museum. The Patuxent Partnership is a non-profit member organization that is committed to fostering relationships between nonprofits and the business community. During the event Ms. DeSantis was presented with a $5,000 donation from Raytheon, which will benefit Operation: Tohidu.
Raytheon shares in Melwood’s commitment to enriching the lives of veterans and military families. In August, Chuck Angus, an executive with Raytheon, attended an Operation: Tohidu briefing hosted by Sabre Systems, another committed supporter of our program. Mr. Angus immediately recognized the impact Operation: Tohidu could have on not only the warfighter living with PTS(d) but also their families.
On behalf of the Melwood Board of Directors, staff and the participants in our program, we extend our sincere thanks to Raytheon for the gift. The donation will go a long way in assisting Melwood in our efforts to make a difference in the lives of the veterans and active duty service members who participant in our program.
