Recreation Center Summer Update

The summer season is well underway. Camp Accomplish, and Access Adventures, are off to another successful summer.   Counselors from all over the world joined our Recreation team to make sure every participant in our camp and travel programs feels safe, challenged and included… while having tons of fun in the sun! 

Last week, campers enjoyed a variety of creative activities during Melwood’s Avengers Academy. Campers took part in creative arts projects and participated in activities that incorporated nature, sports, high and low rope challenge courses, swimming, horseback riding, archery, and so much more!

Participants in our Access Adventures program took a trip to Virginia Beach this month. The group enjoyed a number of area attractions including a visit to the Virginia Beach Aquarium and Marine Science Center. After a few days enjoying the sun and walking the boardwalk, the participants even enjoyed a dolphin cruise!
