On Thursday, October 6th Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) held its annual Golf Tournament; a charitable event that supports non-profits and community-based organizations. This year, SMECO designated Melwood as the beneficiary of the golf tournament.
The event was a great success. Melwood’s operations manager for Operation: Tohidu, Mike Norgren and Operation: Tohidu alumni, Ryan Daniels were on hand to inform participants about this program and to thank them for their support. There was brilliant feedback and interest from our SMECO friends and attendees.
We are grateful for all of the golfers, attendees, donors, sponsors, staff and volunteers who participated in the event and made it such a smashing success. We also sincerely thank SMECO for their dedication to our program and the Greater Washington, DC community.
