Myron Thomas is Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Culmen International after serving as Melwood’s Chief Operating Officer for almost three years and Chief Financial Officer for four years.
Mr. Thomas has nearly 25 years of operational and finance experience. Prior to joining Melwood, he was the President/COO of southeast based The American Home, a private-equity backed real estate owner, investor and property manager. Before that, he served as President/COO (and initially hired as CFO), of high-end private-equity backed hospitality company, Raintree Resorts International. He also served as Vice President, Corporate REIT Finance, at CNL, where he led efforts to negotiate the acquisition of over $2 billion in operating assets and over $500 million in debt financing. Earlier in his career, Myron served as a Business Unit CFO at Corning Inc. (NYSE: GLW), a management consultant at Diamond Technology Partners (acquired by PwC), and a senior assurance professional at KPMG and PwC.
Mr. Thomas obtained his MPA from Harvard University, his MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and his BS from Florida A&M University. He is certified as a CPA, CVA and Six Sigma greenbelt. He is a member of the Washington, DC chapter of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) and Leadership Greater Washington (LGW). He holds a Top Secret Security Clearance, enjoys working with organizations whose missions are to empower individuals with developmental challenges, and serving as a Board member for early-stage companies focused on making the world a better place.
