Kate's mom, Lynne, was interested in enrolling her daughter in a camp that also provided an equestrian program. She began researching camps in the area and came across Camp Accomplish, she immediately signed Kate up. Now in her fourth year, Kate is very active at Melwood's Recreation Center. She enjoys the Advanced Equestrian Camp and is a Redwood at the Teen Sessions. When she is not participating in a camp session, she assists at camp as a volunteer.
Kate loves everything about Camp Accomplish and Melwood. She takes riding lessons year-round, rides with the Trail Team and Show Team and volunteers for a number of programs. In fact, Kate spends most of her Sundays volunteering her time helping with lessons. Kate says that she loves being around the animals and helping her fellow riders. Her mother said that she would live at the Recreation Center, if she could!
